Flower Show

The season has now drawn to a close and we all take a summer break to recharge our batteries and prepare for the season ahead which starts on September 2nd. We are delighted to welcome Gary Scorgie, Paul Langford and Rojer Wieghtman into the advanced group after their great successes in the last season as you can see within the competition results section of this site. Gary cemented his season by achieving intermediate photographer of the Year with an outstanding 14 maximum scores during the seasons competitions. Kevin Day took the photographer of the year achievement in the advanced section bringing his tally to 5 trophies this season. Next season looks like being an extremely exciting one, with lots of members entering wonderful images and making the competitions exciting for the competitors and very enjoyable for all the rest of us. We have just attended the annual Stoke Poges Fete and the committee would like to extend a huge thanks to all those members that turned out to help set up and man the stand during the day. We would also like to thank the members of the public that visited the stand and offered such praise for all the prints on display, it was lovely to talk to you all and really look forward to welcoming those of you that expressed an interest in joining SPPC in September. If you weren't able to make it to the Fete, don't worry, you have an opportunity to visit the club stand on July 26th when we will be attending the Annual Stoke Poges Horticultural Society Show and of course that gives you the opportunity not only to chat to members but also some of the outstanding prints that you can see in the club galleries here.
